Life Keys Services

Life Keys connects families and individuals with trusted independent care practitioners and supports caregivers in building sustainable, values-aligned care practices. We provide thoughtful matching, care navigation, training, and cooperative pathways across Colorado.

Life Keys is a placement and support organization. We are not a direct care provider.

For Families & Clients

Caregiver Matching & Placement

Life Keys helps families identify and connect with independent care practitioners based on care needs, preferences, schedules, and household dynamics. This includes companion care, personal care support, respite, recovery assistance, and help with daily routines.

Care Navigation & Planning

We help families make sense of care options and next steps. Support may include clarifying care needs, identifying community and benefit resources, coordinating caregiving roles, and developing a realistic, sustainable care plan.

How Care Arrangements Work

Life Keys connects families with independent care practitioners. Caregivers are not employees of Life Keys.

Life Keys supports clarity, planning, and coordination while honoring caregiver independence.

For Care Professionals

Support for Independent Care Practitioners

Life Keys works with care professionals who want meaningful work, professional respect, and long-term sustainability. We support caregivers providing non-medical, home-based care to children, adults, elders, and families.

Your Independent Practice

Care professionals who work through Life Keys operate as independent practitioners, not employees of Life Keys.

Training, Coaching & Professional Support

Optional training, workshops, and coaching are available to support skill-building, communication, boundaries, documentation, safety, and professionalism in home-based care.

Cooperative Pathway Education

Optional education and readiness support for caregivers interested in exploring member-owner cooperative pathways, including foundational business skills needed to build a sustainable independent care practice such as pricing, boundaries, client agreements, recordkeeping, and long-term planning.

How Life Keys Charges

Clear, Transparent Fees

Life Keys charges for placement, navigation, training, and professional support services. We do not take a percentage of caregiver wages and do not control caregiver pay.

For Families & Clients

Comprehensive Intake and Care Assessment
A structured conversation and review to understand care needs, routines, preferences, risks, scheduling, and goals. The assessment also identifies resources that support consistent care, whether care is provided by a family member or an independent care practitioner, including social supports such as food access, home maintenance, pet care, transportation, and other daily living needs.

This is a non-medical assessment focused on care coordination, planning, and resource connection.

Caregiver Matching and Placement Support
Support identifying, introducing, and onboarding independent care practitioners, including interview guidance, role clarification, and support during the initial start of care.

Optional Ongoing Support and Care Navigation
As-needed support for adjustments, transitions, coordination with community resources, and evolving care needs. Services may be hourly, package-based, or project-based.

For Care Professionals

Care professionals may choose to pay for optional training, coaching, professional profile support, and cooperative pathway education. Participation is voluntary and aligned with individual goals.

What Life Keys Does Not Do

Care services are contracted directly between clients and independent care practitioners.

Introducing Life Keys: A Different Approach to Care and Home Placement

When people hear the phrase home care, they often picture a traditional agency that sends caregivers into a home, sets schedules, handles payroll, and manages the relationship.

Life Keys was created to do something different.

We are a home placement and support organization, not a direct care agency. Our role is to help people find the right care relationships, clarify expectations from the beginning, and support both families and caregivers in creating care arrangements that can last.

What Is a Home Placement Agency?

A home placement agency helps connect people who need care with qualified, available, and good-fitting care professionals.

At its core, placement means listening carefully to what a household needs, understanding the type of care being provided, introducing families to independent care practitioners, and supporting clear agreements and strong starts.

Unlike a traditional agency, a placement organization does not employ caregivers or control their work. Instead, it focuses on matching, planning, and support.

How Life Keys Is Structured

Life Keys connects families with independent care practitioners. These caregivers are not employees of Life Keys.

  • Families and caregivers agree directly on pay, schedules, and terms
  • Care relationships are built on mutual understanding and choice
  • Independence and professionalism are preserved

Life Keys supports the process without inserting itself into the care relationship.

Why This Model Matters

Many care challenges do not come from lack of compassion. They come from lack of clarity.

Families are often overwhelmed or unsure what to ask for. Caregivers are often placed in roles without clear boundaries or long-term sustainability.

A placement and support model allows families to make informed decisions, caregivers to maintain autonomy and dignity, and care relationships to be built intentionally rather than reactively.

What Makes Life Keys Unique

  • Comprehensive intake and care assessments that consider care needs and social supports
  • Care navigation that looks beyond hands-on care alone
  • Training and coaching for caregivers and families
  • Support for family caregivers as well as paid care professionals
  • Pathways toward cooperative, member-owner care models

We support care across the lifespan, including children, adults, elders, and people living with disabilities.

Care Is Relational

We believe care works best when roles are clear, expectations are spoken, independence is respected, and support is available without control.

Life Keys exists to support those conditions.

Whether you are seeking care, providing care, or trying to understand what comes next, this space is here to offer clarity, grounded guidance, and respect for the work of care.
